I'll be honest, I never had a shower for my bio or my adopted children. My 1st DD my parents helped with the big equipment, and I really wanted to do it ourselves (I'm a little picky)...I was also one of the last of my friends to have kids, so everyone was kind of over it.

My DS, I was working, turns out my co-workers had planned a surprise shower, but I went into labor early and missed it (they had it without me!).

My AD was adopted though foster care, we got her the day our license was approved, we adopted her on her 1st birthday, we had a small party at home, just us and the kids (all our family lives out of state).

So no showers for us. No bridal showers either. I guess I'm just not a fawn all over me or my kids type of person...I do take daily showers though!
